A romantic comedy, an entertainment industry satire and a winking gender-bender all rolled into one, this was Chan’s biggest box office success of the decade.

Anita Yuen won her second consecutive Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actress as Wing, a spritely tomboy who masquerades as a fledgling male idol to meet singer Rose and boyfriend/producer Sam. A love triangle would normally be expected, but the dizzying reversals, clever characterizations and complicated sexual politics are anything but predictable!
